Shipping policy

Thank you for shopping with KIBIMBAP (“we”, “us”, “our”).
This Shipping Policy explains how we process and deliver your orders.
1. Order Processing Time
All orders are processed within 2-5 business days after payment is confirmed. Orders are not processed, shipped, or delivered on weekends or public holidays. During peak seasons, promotions, or unexpected high volume, processing times may be slightly longer. If there is a significant delay in processing your order, we will contact you via email.
2. Shipping Origins & Destinations
We ship to most countries worldwide. If your country does not appear as an option at checkout, please contact us so we can confirm whether shipping is available.
3. Shipping Methods, Carriers & Estimated Delivery Times
Most of our products are shipped from South Korea. In this case, we offer three main international shipping options:
- Standard Shipping
- Carrier: Korea Post – International Parcel (우체국 일반 국제소포)
- Estimated delivery: 7–40 business days (varies by destination)
- Express Shipping
- Carrier: Korea Post EMS
- Estimated delivery: 2-20 business days (varies by destination)
- Premium Shipping
- Carrier: DHL, FedEx or equivalent express courier
- Estimated delivery: 1-7 business days (varies by destination)
Some products may be shipped directly from the manufacturer or our partner vendors from their respective countries. In such cases, different shipping services or local carriers may be used. We will provide tracking information as soon as it is available from the relevant carrier.
Note: Delivery times are estimates only and may be affected by customs procedures, local courier schedules, weather, or other factors beyond our control.
4. Order Tracking
Once your order has shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email. If you’ve chosen Express or Premium shipping, the order’s tracking number and link will be provided. Please allow 24–48 hours for the tracking information to update.
5. Customs, Duties & Taxes
International orders may be subject to import duties, customs fees, and local taxes imposed by the destination country.
5.1 For international orders excluding the United States:
For all destinations excluding the United States, we ship on a DAP (Delivered At Place) basis. This means that Customs duties, taxes, and import fees are not included in our product prices or shipping fees (unless explicitly stated). You may be required to pay these charges to your local customs office or courier upon or before delivery. Please check your country’s import policies before placing an international order. We are not responsible for delays or additional costs caused by customs or local authorities.
5.2 For orders shipped to addresses in the United States:
- Due to recent regulatory changes, shipments entering the U.S. are treated as customs clearance items, and may be subject to duties and taxes regardless of their value.
- We therefore ship to the U.S. on a DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) basis.
- Applicable customs duties, taxes, and related clearance fees are included in our product prices and/or shipping fees for U.S. customers.
- You generally will not be asked to pay additional customs charges at delivery in the U.S.
6. Incorrect Address, Undeliverable & Returned Packages
Please make sure your shipping address is complete, accurate, and up to date before placing your order.
- If you provide an incorrect or incomplete address and the package cannot be delivered and is not returned to us, we cannot be held responsible for non-delivery, and no refund will be issued.
- If your package is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address you provided, refusal, or failure to receive/collect you may request reshipment to a corrected address, or request a refund. In either case case we will deduct all costs incurred from the return and reshipment/refund of the product. This includes but is not limited to: the original shipping cost, any return shipping fees, customs charges, or handling fees incurred by us due to the return.
If you need to update your shipping address after placing an order, please contact us at as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee changes if your order has already entered processing or shipped.
7. Lost or Damaged Packages
We are not responsible for packages lost or damaged in transit, but we will do our best to assist you.
If:
- Your order is significantly delayed,
- Tracking shows “delivered” but you did not receive the package, or
- Your order arrives damaged,
please:
- Contact the shipping carrier first with your tracking number, and
- Then contact us with your order number and details.
For damaged items, please include clear photos of:
- The outer shipping box,
- The shipping label, and
- The damaged product(s).
8. Shipping Restrictions
Some items may be restricted or unavailable for shipping to certain countries or regions due to customs regulations, carrier limitations, or product-specific restrictions (e.g., batteries, liquids, hazardous materials, etc.). If your order includes a restricted item, we will contact you to modify or cancel the affected part of the order and arrange a refund where applicable.
9. Pre-Orders & Backorders (If applicable)
For pre-order or backordered items:
- Estimated availability or shipping dates will be shown on the product page or at checkout.
- If your order contains both in-stock and pre-order items, we may:
- ship all items together when all are available, or
- ship in multiple batches, depending on our operational policy.
